Straumann Group at The Forefront of Sustainable Fundraising

Teaming up with SE Recycling, the Straumann Group have successfully raised £304.71 for Macmillan Cancer Support through the sustainable recycling of their unwanted and redundant IT equipment.

As part of SE Recycling’s (SER) mission to create a sustainable future for all, the business works with clients to maximise the value of every piece of redundant equipment that is recycled and disposed of. This can then be used as a donation to a client’s charity of choice.

Straumann Group’s charity of choice is Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan was founded by Douglas Macmillan 1911, and have grown to be the UK’s leading source of cancer support, helping more and more people living with cancer.

In 1911, a young man named Douglas Macmillan watched his father die of cancer. His father’s pain and suffering moved Douglas so much, he founded the Society for the Prevention and Relief of Cancer.

Vicki Camp, Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager for Macmillan commented: On behalf of all our Macmillan nurses, doctors, support workers and cancer experts, I want to say a big thank-you to SE Recycling and Straumann Group for choosing to raise money from redundant and unwanted IT.

A cancer diagnosis is a life-changing event in itself, but navigating cancer during COVID makes an already difficult situation even harder. Throughout the pandemic, the cancer experts on our Support Line have been providing a lifeline for people living with cancer. The money raised could fund the Cancer Information Team on our Support Line for almost an hour. Helping to ensure they can continue to offer vital emotional, practical, financial support to those in need.”

Gary Mo, Managing Director at SE Recycling said: “We are delighted to have helped the Straumann Group raise funds for such an amazing and life changing cause. We aim to create a sustainable future for generations to come and thanks to Straumann Group and Macmillan they have helped us move closer to this goal.”
